Youth Classes (Ages 5 to 12)
|
At Colorado Taekwondo Institute we take a positive, structured approach to teaching
students of all ages. We have been providing dynamic, educational martial arts since
1983.
The Mission of our School is to teach and encourage world-class leadership through educational excellence and martial arts traditions.
|
Our passion is to develop students who will become dynamic black belts with excellent
self-defense skills. We also develop our students’ and instructors’ leadership and
teaching skills, thereby allowing each of us to make meaningful contributions at the
family, school and community levels.
About Us
Benefits of the Children's Program
People ask us all the time, "Is my son/daughter too young to start classes?" The answer
of course is, "No way!" Students of all ages will benefit from taking martial arts classes.
Students of this age group will actually get the most from training. The habits students
develop at this age will stick with them their whole lives.
Self-Confidence
Martial arts classes are ten times better than team sports in developing a child's
self-esteem and confidence. Our program will help your child their confidence and
self-esteem, making them unstoppable!
Improved Study Skills
Martial Arts are designed to train the body as well as the mind. For every belt, each
student make take a written test that will help them learn to study. This will translate into
their school work. We guarantee their grades will go up once they start class!
Respect
Respect is one of the greater things that we teach in our classes. We teach our students
to not only respect teachers, parents, and grandparents, but to respect everyone. This
respect for self and others will have a profound impact on their daily lives.
Leadership Training
Our school's mission is to teach and encourage world-class leaders. We are creating the
future, one black belt at a time. Once a student earns their black belt, they will be a leader
in every aspect of their life.
Physical Fitness
Did you know approximately 30.3 percent of American children (ages 6 to 11) are
overweight and 15.3 percent are obese?1 Our dynamic classes keep you children
moving and get them into shape.
