Enrolling our two boys Eli (age 7) and Jacob (age 5) into the Colorado Taekwondo Institute was the best decision, as parents, that we have made. The level of love and respect that our kids have towards their instructors is remarkably high. That love and respect has spilled over into how our kids respect themselves, us their parents, and those involved in their lives, like their teachers. The attention and care that the instructors give our kids is wonderful. These outstanding men and women are adored and idolized; they are our Super Heroes.
Our kids show great improvements since joining the Colorado Taekwondo Institute. They are gaining self-confidence and most importantly self-discipline. Eli and Jacob are standing up for themselves more; they are confident in knowing what is right and wrong. With the additional support and encouragement of their instructors, we are confident in them to make the right choices.
Our eldest son, Eli, has previously had issues with low self-esteem. He would shy away from trying anything that he wasn't sure he could do perfectly. One night in Taekwondo class he raised his hand so he could be next to try a flying kick and kick a board. He did it, and I cried! He was so proud of himself.
Our youngest, Jacob has been shy because of a speech delay. With Taekwondo he has learned to open up more, and is not afraid to speak out when he is not being treated with respect.
We have seen big improvements at school as well. The second quarter of Eli's report card showed incredible improvement in all of the Life Long Learning Skills. He went from having mostly 2's and 3's (on a scale to 4) to almost all 4's. The Colorado Taekwondo Institute played a crucial part to this improvement.
When there was talk about a day class for adults, I was intrigued and nervous. Being 30 something and out of shape, I wondered if I could do it. I am glad I am. Every Tuesday and Thursday I am so excited to go to class. After class I feel a sense of accomplishment, and a feeling of mental and physical power. Not only am I learning how to defend myself, I feel great and it is helping me get into better shape. Being able to enjoy Taekwondo with my boys is the finest reward. I cherish the times that we practice together in our living room.
We are honored to be a part of the Colorado Taekwondo Institute school. We admire and respect them. The Colorado Taekwondo Institute is the finest school there is.
